Who doesn’t like to play with color and texture? Explore the use of color, value and texture in this fascinating, hands-on workshop. Transform original designs into quilt blocks, that when repeated, will develop into secondary patterns and beyond. With Sharon’s encouragement, draw simple designs from your imagination or from inspirational photos. Use your sketches as patterns for your block. Reverse raw-edge appliqué gives a 3D look to your design. This workshop includes instruction of value and color that transfers to fabric choices and achieves a strong and dramatic design.

$75 fee includes 1 fat quarter for background and 3 additional fat quarters

In three sessions, become familiar with the basic steps of quilt construction, accurate rotary cutting, machine piecing, basting, machine quilting and binding while making a decorative table topper. By the end of the class, you’ll have the confidence to start your own quilt. Class includes discussion of fabric choice and preparation, threads, needles and much more.
