Early Blooms Rug Hooking with Melonie Unger
Oswego, Saturday, March 3rd, 10:30 am—12:30 pm
Rug hooking is an old-fashioned craft that is gaining popularity again. Join Melonie and learn to rug hook with wool strips or needle punch with heavy yarn on a cloth base. Create a 17×17 floral mini rug or wall hanging. Begin with transferring your pattern onto the base cloth, then get busy hooking or punching your design! Experienced hookers and beginners will enjoy working on this project through out the winter. Fee: $20
Embellishment 101 with Janet Dehm

Always wanted to find out what some of those crazy products were on the shelf, but were afraid to take the plunge? This is the class for you! In class one you will learn how to use paint stixs to create designs on fabric, play with Angelina fibers, yo-yos, kanzashi flowers and wool to create a variety of embellishments. Class two puts all your efforts to work in creating a stunningly simple embellished bag. Fee: $25
Felted Knit Bowls with Melonie Unger

From start to finish you will use all the tips and tricks for creating your own beautiful quilt. Class instructions include everything from cutting and piecing techniques all the way through layering, quilting, binding and much more! Time is scheduled between classes to allow students to complete out of class work. Fee: $65

Paper Piecing 101 with Julie Burger

Our love of paper piecing continues to grow! Don’t miss out! This wonderful technique makes perfect blocks with precision points by sewing on the lines. How easy is that! Join Julie in the class that includes the pre-printed patterns. Make one block in class and go on to try any of the creative paper piecing patterns available. Learn a quick and easy way to make those sweet little 9 patches. Choose from two different sizes and a huge variety of setting options for the perfect little quilt for yourself or that special loved one. Learn Laura’s techniques for making those “smaller” size blocks. You will work on both size blocks in class and discuss the wonderful options you have for setting your blocks! Fee: $30
Dancing with the Stars with Julie Burger

Join Julie for this fun, new monthly paper piecing club. Create an intricate paper-pieced star block each month for 12 months. At the end of the year you have enough blocks to assemble your own “Dancing” star quilt. Jump in any month and be a star! This class is for intermediate paper piecers. Paper Piecing 101 or proficient paper piecing skill is recommended. Fee: $15 first class, $10 each additional club meeting.

Mondo Bag with Julie Burger

The Mondo (an adjective meaning very or extremely) Bag is just that – very large, and extremely handy! It’s perfect for carrying your show-and-tell to guild meetings or all your clothes for a weekend away. It’s a super diaper bag, even for triplets! The Mondo Bag can haul a ton of stuff! Learn to use fusible grids for perfect intersections. This is the project for those irresistible jelly rolls and Bali Pops! Warning: don’t tell your friends it was “a piece of cake” or be prepared to take orders. Start in class one and finish the bag in class two. The Mondo Bag is easy enough for the beginning sewer and fun for the expert too. Fee: $30
