This week’s post offers more quilts for kids, this time featuring soft and bright pastels, flowers, stars, hearts, and butterflies.

First up is the “Easy Panel Quilt” designed by Roseann Meehan Kermes, on the All People Quilt website. The large printed center panel makes this quilt quick and easy to make.

For those of you searching for your next appliqué project, look no further! The “Hearts & Flowers Appliqué Quilt” by Linda Lum DeBono, also at All People Quilt, features text, stars, X’s and O’s, and the hearts and flowers of its title. It makes a bright pretty wallhanging for a ‘tween or a bed quilt for a young child.

The delightful “Snuggle Play Laugh Love” quilt by Jennifer Overstreet, at Moda Bake Shop, highlights text in different fonts. It may look complicated, but Jennifer says that it is super easy for any beginner to make. The instructions include templates for the text and an instructional video in case you want to create your own!
The “Dot Dot Dash” quilt by Lisa Maxwell, also at Moda Bake Shop, is a single bed sized quilt perfect for a teenager. However, wearing it outside in the middle of a Syracuse winter is not recommended!
